MATLAB Cambodia

Welcome to MATLAB Cambodia! We specialise in Testing for the construction industry. Namely, soil & road testing such as the SPT, DCP & CBR.

About US

MATLAB Cambodia is a professional and reliable company that provides geotechnical engineering services, including soil and material testing, to clients in Cambodia. As an ISO9001 certified company, it follows industry standards and best practices to ensure the quality and accuracy of its services. It is also notable that the company has an in-house team to perform assignments, which allows it to maintain control over the quality and timeliness of its work.

The primary purpose of geotechnical testing and investigation is to gather information about the subsurface conditions of a site, including the properties of the soil and rock layers, the groundwater conditions, and any other factors that may affect the stability and behavior of the ground. This information is then used to assess the suitability of the site for a particular purpose, such as the construction of a building or other infrastructure. The final report presents the findings of the testing and investigation and includes conclusions and recommendations based on the data collected and the specific requirements of the project.

Services

MATLAB Cambodia is well-equipped to provide a range of testing services to the construction industry, including soil and road testing.

The Standard Penetration Test (SPT) is a common geotechnical testing method used to determine the strength and consistency of soil layers. It involves driving a thick-walled sample tube into the ground using a hammer, and measuring the number of blows required to reach a specific depth.

The Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) is a hand-held device that is used to measure the strength and stability of soil and asphalt layers. It consists of a cone-shaped tip that is driven into the ground using a falling weight, and the resistance of the soil to penetration is measured using a load cell.

The California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test is another commonly used method for evaluating the strength and stiffness of soil and other materials used in road construction. It involves applying a known load to a cylindrical sample of the material and measuring the deformation that occurs. The ratio of the applied load to the deformation is used to determine the CBR value, which is an indication of the material's bearing capacity.

All of these tests can provide valuable information about the properties of soil and road materials, which can be used to design and construct stable and reliable infrastructure.
